Hi there, Lori. Welcome to
planDisney! Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day. Oftentimes, you'll find me at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks bright and early. I love to get there and cross off several of my must-do's off the list before the park tends to fill up around lunchtime. Then, I always retreat back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I am staying at for an afternoon swim. After I've had my fill of fun in the sun, I like to clean up and head to Epcot to enjoy snacks and drinks around The World Showcase for dinner. It's such a fun day.
Park hopping, Lori, is where you are able to enter multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. You can go to 1, 2, 3 or all 4 of the main Walt Disney World Theme Parks if you choose. Park hopping just returned to us at the start of this year and it does look a little bit different than it did before.
Here's how park hopping is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must have a park pass reservation for the first park they plan on visiting each day
- On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. This sort of "activates" the hopper feature each day
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
- It is not necessary or even possible to hold multiple park pass reservations for one day. You only need the initial park you'll be visiting each day
- To make park hopping a little bit more convenient for Guests at this time, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided.
So if you have the park hopper pass and it's after 2:00 p.m. you can basically go to any or all of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks you'd like to each day. It's a really fun way to spend some time while on a Walt Disney World vacation.
I hope this helps break down park hopping for you, Lori. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun and happy planning!
