Hiya Ellen,
Welcome to planDisney! Park hopping can be a great way to maximize your time at Walt Disney World Resort, especially if you plan a short vacation. We love using the Park Hopper option to dine at different Theme Parks on the same day. However, if you aren’t sure you would use it during your vacation, I understand wanting to remove it from your Theme Park tickets.
To answer your question, Ellen, whether or not you can modify your Theme Park tickets depends on whether the tickets were purchased as part of a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package. Suppose your Theme Park tickets were purchased separately from your Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel reservation (or you do not have a resort reservation). In that case, you will be unable to modify your tickets. Walt Disney World Resort tickets are
nontransferable and nonrefundable. However, suppose you purchased your Theme Park tickets as part of a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package. In that case, you can check to see if your tickets are eligible for modification in
My Disney Experience. Under “My Plans,” scroll to your reservation information. If your reservation is eligible, a button to the right of your confirmation number will say “Change Reservation.” Once you select that option, you will see an option to adjust your Theme Park tickets.
I hope this was helpful, Ellen. If you cannot modify your Theme Park tickets, let me share my tips for enjoying park hopping at Walt Disney World Resort. Start your day at your first Theme Park and then head back to your room around midday. It can get pretty hot in May in the middle of the day, so a nice afternoon rest can be a welcome gift. Then later in the evening, hop over to a second Theme Park to enjoy one of the Nighttime Spectaculars like
Fantasmic! or
Happily Ever After.
Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
