For the park hopper option- I know I need to make a reservation for the first park (in the AM) but do I have to do the same for the second one (PM)? I want to be able to just go to a park last minute but unsure if it’s worth it if I have to plan in advance

    Welcome to planDisney Nicole!

I can tell that you are getting excited for your next Walt Disney World vacation. I really love to use the Park Hopper option which I usually purchase on my Walt Disney World park tickets.

Yes, you will have to make a park reservation for the Walt Disney World Theme Park where you are going to start your Disney day and you must enter that park before you are eligible to Park Hop on that particular day. You do not have to reserve the second park of the day that you are planning on Park Hop to. Keep in mind that Park hopping is currently available after 2:00 pm each day based on availability. You can check the Park Hours Calendar or the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours. The good news is that you can decide what park you would like to Park Hop to after 2:00 pm when you are at the park that you reserved on that particular day. I was able to do this exact thing on my October 2021 Walt Disney World vacation and it was so much fun deciding in the morning where I was going to go in the afternoon. Sometimes I even changed my mind while I was experiencing my first park of the day. It is really cool to be spontaneous on your Walt Disney World vacation!

I hope your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly amazing!
