Hiya, Teresa!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney as you make your final preparations to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you're anything like me, you've likely packed (and unpacked and repacked) your bags and are now anxiously anticipating the opportunity to wear your mouse ears and eat your favorite Mickey-shaped snacks, so let's get right to your question!
Per
Walt Disney World Resort policy, theme park tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable. If you were to purchase the
Park Hopper option for your 1-day theme park ticket, unfortunately, you would not be entitled to a refund if you did not use the add-on. Although you would not be eligible for a refund if
EPCOT were to reach capacity, in my experience, a Walt Disney World Resort theme park reaching capacity is a rare occurrence and typically only happens on widely celebrated holidays. Personally, between EPCOT's newly reimagined World Celebration and incredible attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, I always think EPCOT is worth a visit.
If you do wind up park hopping during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Teresa, I think you'll love hopping between Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT aboard the
Walt Disney World Monorail. In my opinion, it's one of the best commutes in Walt Disney World Resort because you're treated to an aerial view of EPCOT upon arrival.
While I'm sure this is not what you were hoping to hear, Teresa, I hope the information I provided was helpful for you as you make decisions about your upcoming vacation. If you have any additional questions or are in need of suggestions, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
