Should I get the park hopper or no? We would do one full day at Magic, one full day at animal kingdom, half day at Epcot. Thinking the Epcot day we may do Hollywood? Is it worth it to spend the extra money?

    Hi Megan,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It sounds like you're putting together some real fun plans for your Walt Disney World vacation.

From what you shared, it sounds like you're planning a 3-day visit with 2 1-park days and only 1 park hopping 1 day.

There's lots of great fun to enjoy visiting 1 park per day. Personally, I always go with the Park Hopper Option on theme park tickets because I feel it gives the most flexibility to enjoy all the magic in all 4 theme parks on the same day. It provides a lot more flexibility with making FastPass+ selections and dining reservations. That said, when I go with the Park Hopper Option, I like to make sure I take advantage of the option and hop around every day.

The "is it worth it?" question is always personal based on what works best for you. I think there are a few planning points to consider. Are you planning to play big in Toy Story Land? If so, I think you'll want to spend more than half a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Are you planning to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to take advantage of  Extra Magic Hours? That gives you even more time for park hopping.

My first suggestion is to play around with your planning choices for theme park tickets. It's real easy to see pricing for different choices. My second suggestion is to think about park hopping each day to fully utilize the option. Personally, I'd want to experience all 4 theme parks to take in all the magic.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
