Hello and welcome to planDisney, Martha.
Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day. I was so excited when it returned to us at the start of this year. Park hopping does look a little bit different than it did before. Here's how it is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for the first Walt Disney World theme park they wish to visit each day
- On the day of, Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservations before continuing on to other parks later in the day
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
- It is not necessary to make multiple park pass reservations throughout the day - just the initial one each day
Martha, right now, there are still capacity limitations in place which is why you'll need a park pass reservation to visit a Walt Disney World Theme Park each day. Park hopping is still "technically" subject to park capacity limitations at this time. With that being said, I have not one time had a problem being able to park hop and I've done it many times since it returned to us in January. In fact, I haven't even heard of this being an issue. I have no doubt that you will be able to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios in the morning and then hop over to Magic Kingdom Park in the afternoon. To make things a bit more convenient for you to park hop, Martha, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is being offered at this time. When you are ready to leave Magic Kingdom Park and head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios, barring it is around 2:00 p.m., just exit the theme park and make your way over to the bus station. There will be a number of buses coming and going that will whisk you off to your next destination.
As we return to a world of magic, you'll want to keep an eye over on the
Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest updates and announcements. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back and ask me. I'm here to help!
Have a great day!
