I have a Park Hopper & Hollywood&Vine Fantasmic package reservation (meal at 4:55) for 7/30/2024. Currently looking at being in the Magic Kingdom the first half of the day. Any transportation recommendations and when should I leave MK?

Hey there Melissa and welcome back to planDisney!

If there's anything I love planning, it's some great park-hopping strategy and transportation logistics especially if it means finding ways to beat the crowds and have the most stress-free time while traversing Walt Disney World Resort between the theme parks! As you depart Magic Kingdom Park en route to Disney's Hollywood Studios to dine at Hollywood & Vine, here are some of my best recommendations for your journey:

    • Looking at the Hours & Events Calendar for July 30, it looks like you'll want to leave before 4:00 p.m. in order to have spent an equal amount of time at both theme parks (but it also appears like you'll be back at Magic Kingdom Park for breakfast early the next morning at Cinderella's Royal Table). Something to keep in mind is that the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at 3:00 p.m. has the potential of being an obstacle on your way out, depending on whether you get stuck behind a route temporarily blocked off by Cast Members or if you decide to stick around to watch it.
    • The most direct route available to you at the current time is taking advantage of the complimentary Resort buses that will take you directly from Magic Kingdom Park that afternoon, though there's always the risk of having to wait for some time for the next bus to show up and the drop-off location is still a fair bit of a way from the entrance to Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'd expect to take between 10 - 20 minutes in total when taking this method, but I'd still recommend leaving some extra buffer time just in case.
    • If you'd like to spend a little extra time at Magic Kingdom Park before making your way over, the fastest method is paying for a Minnie Van using the Lyft app to whisk you over in a matter of minutes. (In my experience the drive itself can often be under 10 minutes, depending on your driver and potential traffic.)
Hope this helped, Melissa! Be sure to check out our Transportation Tips on the Disney Parks Blog, and come back again soon for any other answers or advice!
