Hiya, Nancy! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like your visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few short weeks away. How exciting! May is such a great time of year to visit, Nancy. And you’ll still be able to catch the tail end of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
To answer your question, Nancy, you can absolutely park hop to Magic Kingdom Park on Sundays. If you have a ticket with
Park Hopper benefits, you’ll be able to park hop to Magic Kingdom. If you have an Annual Pass, you can hop to Magic Kingdom Park after entering your first park.
Please note that
Theme Park Reservations may be required for Annual Passholders and Guests with certain non-dated tickets to enter their first park. After entering their first park, they will be able to visit another theme park, such as Magic Kingdom. It’s important to know that the ability to visit another park will be subject to the park’s capacity limitations. In the event that the Park Hopper option is unavailable at a specific park, you would be notified via a push notification from the
My Disney Experience app. Having said that, in my experience, this is only during the busiest times of the year, and it’s not a common occurrence.
There is a small caveat for Annual Passholders specifically. To enter a theme park, each Passholder must have valid admission and may need a Theme Park Reservation based on the date of the visit. Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a Theme Park Reservation on designated good-to-go days or after 2:00 PM, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom.
In my opinion, the best way to travel from park to park is using
Disney’s extensive complimentary transportation options. If you’re at EPCOT, you can take the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transfer to the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom. If you’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can catch a bus to Magic Kingdom.
I hope this answers your question, Nancy! If you find yourself at EPCOT, make sure to take in some of the offerings at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Disney Parks Blog shared their
Foodie Guide for the festival, and there are plenty of delicious eats and sips to choose from at the Outdoor Kitchens.
