Hiya Shaun - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
I have some good news for you, Shaun - the
Park Pass Reservation system and your ability to enjoy
Park Hopping are actually separate. While we don't know exactly what kind of magic is going on behind the scenes, we do know that the number of Park Pass Reservations available for a given Theme Park on a given day does
not represent that park's overall attendance capacity for that day. Otherwise, there wouldn't be room for any Park Hopping at all! So, when you're looking for available reservations to visit a Theme Park, if a Theme Park is not available on a particular day that just means you can't
begin your day there - Park Hopping to that park after 2 p.m. will usually be no problem.
In the few instances when a Walt Disney World Theme Park
does reach actual attendance capacity on a particular day, Park Hopping to that park may be restricted. Guests are notified via the
My Disney Experience Mobile App when this occurs. This sometimes happens on holidays or during special events that draw large crowds to a single park. Obviously, Cast Members always make safety a priority and the ability to enter a park is always at their discretion.
I hope this information is helpful, Shaun -
stop by with more questions any time! Oh, and if your visit happens to take you to Disney's Hollywood Studios, be sure to check out the brand-new
Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land where you'll see what it's like to be one of Andy's toys!
