Hey Howdy Hey Michele and welcome to planDisney!
When visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, doing a little resort hopping is always high on my list of recommendations when not in the parks. Disney Resort hotels have amazing recreational offerings, shopping and dining and it is a fun way to spend a day, afternoon or evening. Thank you for your question about parking as a day Guest. I will do my best to give you the most up-to-date information so you can better plan your vacation.
Long story short, parking at Disney Resort hotels that you are not staying at is it depends. In all cases, you will have to stop at security before entering. They will typically ask you the reason for your visit. At times, some security guards may not let you enter if you are not staying at the resort and do not have a reservation to be there. Other times just giving them a reason such as "quick-service dining' is enough to get by. My personal experience is a mixed bag. I have had no issues and no one asks for anything and other times I have had to have my My Disney Experience app ready with a dining reservation to get in. Based on the current information with
parking online states that parking is complimentary for day Guests to explore the recreational offerings, shopping and dining at the resorts. If you have any issues, you can always refer to this policy online which may let you by.
Disney's Art of Animation and
Disney's Pop Century Resorts are super fun to visit. The quick-service offerings at
Landscape of Flavors are based on a wide palate of offerings and will suit anyone's preferences. The resort itself is fun to walk around to see and experience each different area of the resort too. If you do end up heading to Pop Century, make sure you visit
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining for a slice of the rainbow cheesecake. You can thank me later!
I hope you enjoy your time in the parks and visiting the resorts on your upcoming vacation. Please stop back if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
