Where do I park the electric scooter if I want to walk to get on a particular ride?

Hey there, Laurie. Welcome to planDisney!

Yo-ho! Yo-ho! It's a Disney life for you! As our favorite pirate Captain Jack would say, "You have your heading!" TOMORROW you'll be in Walt Disney World! Shiver me timbers! I'm so happy that soon you'll be visiting with Mickey Mouse, taking that iconic photo in front of Cinderella Castle, and sailing the high seas on Pirates of the Caribbean. So let's get to kraken on this question, Laurie!

The last time I took my mom on a Disney vacation, she had an injury, and we had to rent a scooter or an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle). We were happy to find out just how easy it was for her to navigate the parks with it. First, I'd like to share the link to Walt Disney World's Accessibility Services Guide. In this link, you'll find a lot of helpful information about accessing ride queues, tips for using Resort transportation, and much more. My mom and I found it to be a great resource.

If you wish to park your scooter before enjoying a ride, you'll find designated parking areas for scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers just outside the attractions. Most of the time, these areas are easy to find, but if you're having difficulty locating the parking area, friendly Cast Members are available to provide directions. You'll also find that most attractions allow you to remain in your scooter while you wait in line. Once you board the attraction, a Cast Member will move your scooter to the exit, where it will be waiting for you when your ride is over.

I have one other helpful tip for you. You'll find that most of the scooters look the same, so bring something like a ribbon or even a clever sign to attach to your scooter so you'll easily know which one is yours.

Laurie, I'm so happy you stopped by planDisney so we can help you map out and chart a course for a magical vacation. Not only will you get to see all the holiday decorations and festive trees, but you'll be in town for the last few days of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! If you are looking for the most delicious snack that is also unique, stop by Swirled Showcase and try the Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse. YUM!

I hope you have nothing but fun this weekend, Laurie! All pirates like a bit of fun, but I hope you'll also enjoy a little vacation, arrr and arrr, too! Please let us know if we can help you with anything else! It's been my pleasure to meet you!

    Treasure every moment,
    Shonette
