Hello, Caitlin! Welcome to planDisney.
My family made the trek to Vancouver this summer to board the Disney Wonder for
Alaska. What an incredible itinerary! A highlight of our vacation was the glacier viewing day. Decks 9 and 10 come alive with activity. There’s hot chocolate and cozy blankets available to keep everyone comfortable. Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for a picture opportunity with the glacier in the background. Caitlin, I’m getting carried away. Let me back up and talk about parking at the port.
Parking is available at Canada Place. This is where the cruise ship docks. A reservation is required for overnight parking. You’ll find a link to reserve parking online under
“Arrival Information” on the Vancouver departure port page. You’ll find plenty of helpful Disney Cruise Line representatives directing you every step of the way. Canada Place is a well-oiled machine from luggage drop-off to security checkpoints to terminal check-in; you're in good hands.
Once you board the ship, I recommend heading to
Cabanas for lunch and visiting the
youth clubs. During Open House hours, parents are invited to play and explore these interactive spaces with their Mouseketeers. Once secure programming starts, no grown-ups are allowed. I hope you have a fantastic time with Captain Mickey and the gang! If you plan to snap a picture of your favorite Disney pals dressed in their Alaskan attire, you’ll want to line up early! We were told to arrive at least a half-hour beforehand.
I hope you fall in love with Alaska! Please, don’t be a stranger. We would love for you to stop by again.
SEAS the adventure!
