Hi Iesha,
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your transportation question! How exciting that you’ll be visiting Magic Kingdom at night—you're in for a treat. There’s just something so magical about strolling down Main Street, under the glow of the twinkling lights, with Cinderella Castle shining in the distance. And don’t forget to stick around for Happily Ever After—those fireworks are the perfect grand finale!
Now, let’s shift into gear and zoom into your question. When driving yourself to Magic Kingdom, it’s important to know that there’s no direct way to cruise right up to the park’s entrance in your own vehicle. Lightning McQueen might be fast, but even he has to follow the route through the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC)!
Here’s how it works:
- First, you’ll park your car at the TTC
- Then, you’ll choose between hopping on the Monorail or setting sail on the Resort Ferryboat.
Both are fun, scenic ways to arrive at the park—like taking a victory lap before the big race! And just like Radiator Springs lights up at night, both the Resort Monorail and Express Monorail run up to one hour after Magic Kingdom closes, so you’ll have plenty of time to make your way back after the fireworks.
I also recommend using your
My Disney Experience app to keep track of park hours and transportation options.
I hope this helps you cruise into your magical evening at Magic Kingdom! If you have any more questions, be sure to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
