Welcome to planDisney, Cathy! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
Transportation is going to be an important part of your trip to Walt Disney World, so I'm happy to clarify how to get around if you're planning to start your day at
Disney Springs. Let's jump right in!
While
parking at Disney Springs is complimentary, the buses from Disney Springs do not go to the theme parks. Transportation from Disney Springs is designed to connect you with
Disney Resort Hotels. If your day's plan is to visit a theme park, the smoothest approach is to park at that park's parking lot and head in from there. Each park has its own lot with trams, clear wayfinding, and direct access to security and the front gates. That way, when you're ready to leave, whether it's after fireworks or a midday break, your car is right where you need it. It also keeps your timing flexible and avoids unnecessary transfers.
Disney Springs is fantastic if you're spending time shopping, dining, or catching some live entertainment. You can park for free in the Orange, Lime, or Grapefruit garages, enjoy the air-conditioned shops and eateries, and take easy pedestrian walkways between districts. If Disney Springs is your main destination, it's absolutely the most convenient place to park.
So the bottom line is: enjoy the complimentary parking at Disney Springs when you're visiting Disney Springs itself, and plan to park at the theme park you're visiting for the day. That will keep your day simple, efficient, and full of fun with no transportation puzzles to solve.
Have a magical day, Cathy!
