We have 4 park days planned for our first and likely only upcoming Dec. trip with our 5 and 11 year old girls. 1 day AK 1 day HS and 1 day MK. We want Epcot for final but worry they would prefer MK 2x. Not thrill ride seekers or into fireworks. Thoughts?

    Hi Shannon!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I have 5 girls, ages 13 to 5, and they all like different things. The one thing they do agree on, though, is that Magic Kingdom Park is their favorite! It's mine, too, but we're a family of ride lovers. I'm not a huge thrill ride seeker, but I do love riding attractions, and the most attractions are in Magic Kingdom Park.

My family enjoys Epcot, too, but for different reasons. It's a slower paced park for us. They have some solid rides like Test Track, Soarin', Spaceship Earth, Frozen Ever After, and more. Most importantly, we love to eat there! Some of my favorite restaurants like Via Napoli and Teppan Edo are in Epcot. I also enjoy snacking around the "world," choosing a snack in each of the countries. Epcot is just stunningly beautiful. Plus, in December, you can view the Candlelight Processional all month long.

I suggest making your Epcot day after your Magic Kingdom Park day and planning your FastPass+ selections like you are visiting Epcot. However, if you find your girls love Magic Kingdom and need an extra day, then cancel your Epcot plans and switch over to Magic Kingdom. You'll still be able to find FastPass+ selections the day before, since there are so many attractions and character meet and greets in Magic Kingdom.

Another option is to purchase tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and go to Epcot and then Magic Kingdom the same night with your party ticket.

Good luck with your decision! It's the most magical time of the year!
