Theresa from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

While in the park and with a DAS can we walk on shorter line rides while waiting for our return time for another ride while in a wheelchair?

Hello, and welcome to planDisney, Theresa, we thank you for consulting us.

I am happy to hear that you will use the Disneyland Resort Disability Access Service (DAS) during your visit to help make waiting a little easier. We usually take this time to experience other standby queues with shorter wait times, or we tend to our son's needs in quieter more comfortable areas. Cast Members are always readily available and extremely helpful with offering us any assistance.

The DAS is such a helpful accommodation during our visits. Since you will also be utilizing a wheelchair, Theresa, you may or may not necessarily fully need the DAS for all experiences, and I would recommend stopping by the Guest Relations once inside any Disneyland Resort theme park to speak with a Cast Member on how to best utilize your DAS while using your wheelchair. You can also consult with a Cast Member at an attraction entrance, or at a Guest Experience Team Kiosk located near many attractions.

    Tips:
Download the Disneyland Mobile App to manage your plans during your visit. You will also be able to see the DAS accommodation on the Home Page of the app and to request a DAS Return Time on the app once you are registered and have entered a theme park. Once you open the app you will see the DAS accommodation button, tap on it to see the self-selection flow of available attractions to choose from. The registered DAS Guest or anyone on the DAS Guestlist may select a DAS Return Time, just remember that the registered DAS Guest must be present when redeeming the DAS Return Time, and please remember that all in your travel party will need a Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservation using valid theme park admission.

Another useful feature of the Disneyland Mobile App is the convenience of Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and once in a theme park you will have the option to purchase the Disney Genie+ service to save time in lines that offer a Lightning Lane entrance - you can use the Disney Genie+ service and the DAS to really streamline your day. Just be sure to update the Payment Method in the app to facilitate any app transactions - you can even use Disney Gift Cards as a payment method if you wish.

Theresa, kindly refer to Disneyland Resort's Mobility Disabilities resource to see if any other accommodations may be of use to you during your visit.

I hope this information serves you well, it was my pleasure assisting you Theresa and I wish you the most happiest and magical visit to the Disneyland Resort!
