If the park closes at 9 PM, but the fireworks show starts at 9 PM, how does that work? Can I stay and watch the fireworks? OR do I have to buy an "After-Hours" ticket? Thank you!

Hi Natasha! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You will be enjoying some time in Magic Kingdom Park in just a few days! Yay! There is nothing like the final days of a countdown to get me excited about our vacation ... especially when we are traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I have good news for you! On days that Magic Kingdom Park closes at 9:00 P.M., you can see the Happily Ever After fireworks show, even though it is at 9:00 P.M. You will simply exit the theme park when the fireworks show has completed. On nights that Magic Kingdom Park closes early and has a ticketed event like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you would need an event ticket in order to stay. But in your case, you will be able to enjoy Happily Ever After to finish your magical day!

I suggest finding a spot in front of Cinderella Castle to watch the fireworks show at least 30 minutes prior to the start time. You will find that some families find their spot much earlier than that. Grabbing a snack prior to sitting down is also a good idea after a busy day in the theme park!

Enjoy your visit, Natasha! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
