Hi Roxanne! Let's take a look at park hopping under the
Disney Park Pass Reservation system.
The good news is that since
Walt Disney World reopening park hopping in January, the ability to visit a second park has been quite open. On our visits, we have not encountered any capacity closures for park hoppers. Our son and his girlfriend were even able hop over to
Disney's Hollywood Studios on the afternoon of a day when Park Pass reservations were not available.
Purchasing
Park Hopper tickets and making a reservation are the first steps to visiting multiple parks in one day. Currently park hopping begins at 2 pm and you must enter your first park before transferring to another one.
Since park hopping has gone so smoothly, Disney does not seem to have announced an official policy regarding reopening a park to hopping if it closes due to capacity. Since second and third park entry has been so available, it seems likely Disney would allow evening entry to a full park if attendance drops.
During peak season and holidays, especially Christmas and New Year's, expect the popularity of the parks to make hopping a different game. During these times, reserve a spot at the park you must visit in case park hopping is not an option.
Enjoy your time among the mountains of
Pandora, soaring with Peter Pan, and traveling at lightspeed to
Batuu!
