Welcome to planDisney, Brittany! It is a pleasure to answer your very first question and sprinkle a little pixie dust on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans!
I have never been requested to show proof of identification for my daughters at park entrance at any age. However, since I am an international Guest visiting from Brazil, I always send PDF copies of their passports and birth certificates to my e-mail account, so I can access them on my phone if needed. I know digital copies do not substitute original documents, but I am always a bit worried about keeping original identification with me while visiting the parks. Whenever I must take a government-issued ID with me (I have already been asked for my passport to purchase alcoholic beverages), I make sure to keep it in a zip-lock bag to protect it, so I recommend doing the same if you decide to take the child’s birth certificate or another type of identification with you.
Little ones under the age of 3 are Mickey’s special Guests and do not need theme park tickets or theme park reservations. In addition, they are also welcome to accompany adults as they enjoy attractions as long as they meet the height requirement. If you make Lightning Lane reservations using
Disney Genie+ service or individual
Lightning Lane purchases, the Mouseketeers in your travel party under 3 will also be welcome to join you, but again, they must meet the height requirement.
planDisney tip: Be sure to include the children traveling with you, regardless of age, while
booking a Disney resort hotel or making
dining reservations.
