    Hello. Can you park your car during the day at resorts you aren't staying at? We are at Art of Animation but I'm curious if we can park our car at the Contemporary and walk to Magic Kingdom. Thanks!

    Hello Meghan! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. 

    I am excited that you will be staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort on your next Walt Disney World vacation. It's such a fun place. Be sure to have your camera handy because there are so many cute photo spots around the resort. Also, pack your swimsuits because you are going to want to take a dip in The Big Blue Pool. It's the largest pool at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel containing over 308,527 gallons of water. That makes for a splish splashin' good time. 

    Parking at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is reserved only for Guests staying at that particular resort or Guests visiting with dining reservations. The good news is, being a Guest of Disney's Art of Animation Resort provides you with free parking at all of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs. Or better yet, park your car and let the magic of Disney sweep you away to where you want to go using the complimentary transportation service. That way you can stay in vacation mode and not have to worry about things like traffic or directions. Let yourself be treated! If you are really hoping to go to Disney's Contemporary Resort and walk to Magic Kingdom Park, you can always use Disney's Minnie Van Service to drop you off at the hotel first. The Minnie Van service is used via the Lyft app on your mobile device.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
