Hi Thomas! Thank you for dropping by planDisney with your question. The BoardWalk is one of the hidden gems of the Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm glad to hear you are planning a visit! The area is fun to explore even if you are not staying at Disney's BoardWalk Inn, so let's take a look at your options for parking.
While all Guests are welcome to explore the
BoardWalk, parking at
BoardWalk Inn is exclusively for registered hotel Guests and those with dining reservations. To visit the area without a reservation, I would recommend either taking a
Minnie Van or rideshare service that can drop you off right at the door of BoardWalk Inn. You can also park at
Disney Springs and take the complimentary bus service to the hotel. Alternatively, you could park at one of the theme parks. In this case, I recommend parking at Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios. From Epcot, you can simply exit through the International Gateway and walk directly to BoardWalk, if you have park admission. From Hollywood Studios, you can take the Disney Skyliner or FriendShip boats without theme park admission. These happen to be my two favorite methods of
Disney transportation and are both fun ways to get around the resort!
If this is your first time visiting the BoardWalk, be sure to plan some extra time to enjoy the area. There are a number of recreational activities, as well as incredible dining. If you happen to be there in the evening,
AbracadaBar is one of my favorite lounges and is always worth a visit. It gives Disney magic a whole new twist!
Thomas, I hope this is helpful and that you enjoy your visit to the BoardWalk! If you have any additional questions, please come back and let us know at planDisney. My friends and I are here to help you plan a magical visit!
Casey
