Jambo, Kristy! Welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you have quite an adventure in store when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort this week!
Park hopping just adds such a fun element to your experience. Where else in the world can you
fly on a banshee in the morning and
rocket to space after dinner?
My family has found ourselves trying to time the journey back to our car at a different theme park on more than one occasion. Typically, I’d check the posted closing time of your first park and add about 60-90 minutes to estimate how late
buses will continue to serve that park. Looking at
this week's calendar, the closing time of Disney's Animal Kingdom is listed as 7 p.m. That means buses could be running as late as about 9:30, so your plan might be a little too tight. Having said that, a transportation Cast Member recently told me that they won’t ever leave a Guest stranded, and they’ll always do their best to get you where you need to go.
My advice is to seek out a transportation Cast Member when you arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They’ll be able to give exact times the buses will run that night, and let you know what happens if you need to get back to your car after park closing. However, you might just be better off driving to the Magic Kingdom Park when you hop. You won’t have to pay for
parking at your second theme park, and trust me, you’ll be more than ready to jump in your car and go after a long day in the parks!
I hope this helps make park hopping a breeze for you, Kristy! Have the best day ever, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
