My parents will be watching our girls for a night so my husband & I can have a night out with just us. What restaurants would you recommend? I have been looking @Boathouse, Bongos, Coral Reef, and Ale & Compass. It'll be July. Suggestions?

    Hi Jackie!

Ask any of us at Disney Parks Moms Panel to name our favorite Walt Disney World date night restaurants, and the answers will likely reveal a common theme — there simply aren't enough date nights to experience all the wonderful choices.

I like to look for "dinner plus" options. My personal favorite is California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I simply love the food, atmosphere, and quality service. Plus, you can view fireworks from the observation deck. Talk about Happily Ever After!

My wife and I also really enjoy Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The menu offerings are artfully prepared, plus you can cap off your evening with live jazz at Mizner's Lounge.

Tiffins in Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of my new favorites. Start out with a beverage or bite at Nomad Lounge, then step inside to a culinary adventure that won't disappoint. The plus here is that Pandora – The World of Avatar is a stroll away with its breathtaking nighttime glow.

Paddlefish at Disney Springs is another favorite. The food is as great as the views. Plus, you can explore Disney Springs for entertainment and desserts.

Now, about extending your stay and adding more nights out for the two of you...

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
