My parents want to come watch my husband & I run the half marathon in January. They are in their 80's and rely on scooters for getting around. What do you suggest for them for their best viewing considering their limited mobility.

    Hi Cheryl!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love that your parents want to be there to support you.  Seeing my family at the finish line is always a huge boost to my tired body.

I would suggest they plan to go to the Epcot parking lot. There are multiple viewing areas there, including the finish line. Tell them to ask a runDisney volunteer or Disney Cast Member to point them to a good location.  If your parents are staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts, they can utilize the runDisney bus transportation to get to Epcot on race morning.  Most of the buses are not wheelchair accessible, but accessible buses are available for those that need them.  The Cast Member at the bus stop will call for one for them.

They may also be interested in ChEAR Squad packages for spectators.  You can find more information about this on the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend spectators page.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
