Parents visiting from the UK. Can I buy standard tickets for them, add them to My Disney Experience and link those tickets to them? They are old and don't have/want a My Disney Experience account?

Hey there, Hi there, Stuart! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by the panel with your question!

The short answer to your question is: YES! You can absolutely take your parents on a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Let’s not talk about it too loudly though because I don’t want my parents to get any ideas! I confirmed with a Cast Member that you can purchase Standard Theme Park Tickets for use during your parents’ time here in the states. Since your parents do not want their own My Disney Experience Accounts, I suggest adding them to your Family & Friends List in the My Disney Experience mobile app before purchasing the tickets. In the mobile app, you have the option to add Guests to your Family & Friends list by entering their names and age. This is probably the option you’ll want to go with. To complete this process, open the My Disney Experience mobile app and click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner. On the next screen, scroll down to “My Profile” and click the “Family & Friends List” tab at the top. You will see the option to “Add a Guest” on this screen. Choose this option and complete the remaining prompts. With your parents added, you can complete your Theme Park Ticket purchase and assign their tickets to their names during the checkout process.

I hope this helps, Stuart! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know
