If my parents are staying at Pop Century and I, my husband and child are at Polynesian - can they be a guest at our pool for one day so we can all be together for a pool day?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome back to planDisney! I really love the fact that you are planning a multi-generational trip to Walt Disney World. I bring my mom and aunt along often when we visit and I know this is the best way to travel. Not only will you have built-in babysitters for the entire vacation (can someone say Disney date night at California Grill?), but you get to spend some magical quality time with your parents during your vacation and so will your kids. Neither of you will ever forget it.

When staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, guests may only visit the pool(s) at the resort where they have reservations. If your parents do not have reservations at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, they will not be able to visit the pool there. This also goes for you visiting them at their resort - you would not be able to use the Pop Century pool as a Polynesian Village guest as well. Jennifer, I know this news might be disappointing, but all hope is not lost. Instead of hanging out at either pool, consider planning to spend time at one of Disney’s water parks. Separate tickets may be required, but this is likely the best solution where everyone can spend time making a splash together. Disney World has two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. During the winter months you may find that only one of these parks is open, but you’ll be able to check availability and hours in the My Disney Experience App

Additionally, your parents can join you at the Polynesian for other things such as dining reservations ('Ohana is a great choice since meals are served family-style and brought to you in an all you care to enjoy fashion.) and viewing the Happily Ever After from the beach area.

I hope this information is helpful, Jennifer. Please visit us again anytime for more help with planning your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. We’ll see ya real soon!
