Hello and welcome to planDisney, Allison!
A
Disney Cruise is the perfect family vacation with little ones because there are plenty of activities for all ages. I always look forward to the time I spend with my son on the ship and the time I get to relax while he happily plays in the youth clubs.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab are for junior sailors 3 to 12 years of age. During Open House hours, parents are invited to play and explore these interactive spaces with their Mouseketeers. Once secure programming begins, no grown-ups are allowed.
I understand being a little nervous about leaving your children. The counselors all undergo a background check and receive specialized training. They do such a great job helping everyone (kids and parents alike) feel safe and welcome. When my son was three, we checked on him every hour to make sure he was okay. The staff can also message you in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app if your little ones want to be picked up.
When you visit the club for the first time, a youth counselor will review the information you provided during online check-in. This is a great time to let them know about any allergies or concerns you may have. When picking your children up, you must scan your Key to the World Card and whisper your secret password to the youth counselor. You’re now free to enjoy some family time together.
Once on board, you can quickly access the daily youth activities and entertainment schedules in the app. My family likes the craft sessions, meeting the characters, learning to draw our favorite pals, and trying to win at trivia. Oh, and I can’t forget the onboard movies, deck parties, and evening shows. I guarantee everyone will have a great time!
Please stop by and see us again. We are happy to share our advice and experiences with you.
SEAS the adventure!
