Hi there, Bethany, and welcome to planDisney!
Your parents have so much to look forward to at The Most Magical Place on Earth. From endearing moments with their favorite Disney characters to the delicious treats that you can find around every corner, they have quite the adventure ahead.
There is handicapped parking in every parking lot at Walt Disney World Resort. Guests who want to park in those sections will need a valid disability parking permit, including but not limited to, a placard or a license plate.
If you or someone will be with your parents, I recommend that they are dropped off to the front of the parking lot so that they can unload with their electric scooters. However, if they're alone, I suggest that they ask for Preferred parking, which is also a bit closer to the theme park entrances (or the Transportation & Ticket Center, in the case of
Magic Kingdom Park).
AN EXTRA GEM: In order to make the most of their vacation, I highly recommend that they reach out to a friendly Cast Member to chat with them about
available services for Guests with mobility needs. You can email them at disability.services@disneyparks.com and they will reach out to your family.
I hope that this helps, Bethany! If you have additional questions about your upcoming vacation, please revisit us here at planDisney.
I'm all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
