My parents planned a Disney trip for the end of June and I just found out I was pregnant. Looks like I could have a 1-2 week old when the trip comes. Is it a bad idea for us to go? I will also have a 2 and a half year old. Any advice would be great. Thanks

    Hi Angie!

    First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Taking a newborn to Walt Disney World can be tricky, especially since you are coming in the summer time when it is quite warm.  My daughter was 3 weeks old when we took her in August, but it was just a day trip since I am local.  I think this is something to be discussed with your doctor since you will still be recovering and with her pediatrician since she will be brand new.

If you decide to go, there are Baby Care Centers in every park which provide an air-conditioned place to nurse or bottle feed your baby as well as comfortable diaper changing stations.  They are wonderful, so take advantage!

Here is a great article about dining with infants at Disney that includes some adorable Moms Panel babies:  http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/09/25/disney-food-for-families-dining-with-a-baby-or-infant-in-disney-world/

    Have a magical day!
