My parents had their photo in the Epcot memory wall. When I search it says nothing found, how would I go about locating it?

    Hi Stephanie,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question about the Leave a Legacy tiles on display at Epcot.

I love visiting the picture of our daughters, taken in 2000 when they were 18 months and 7. It always makes me smile that their little faces are etched in a place where we've made so many family memories.

The program stopped adding new tiles in 2007, and the display was moved to colorful walls just outside the Epcot entrance a few years ago during the reimagining of the entrance plaza.

To find the new location of a tile (the numbers for the section, row and column), you can enter names into the Leave A Legacy Tile Finder tool online. If the tool doesn't work at first, try a different browser. That's what I needed to do to get the location of my girls' picture. I also assumed the tile was in my name since my girls were so little in 2000. But I needed to use their names, not mine to find their location. So I would experiment with different iterations of your parents' names if you are having trouble getting results.

Your other option is to go to the wall next month on your visit and scan the QR code on the display to find a location. You don't need a ticket to enter Epcot to do this, but you will pass through security.

If you still can't locate their picture on your own, visit Epcot Guest Relations and ask a cast member for assistance. There's a Guest Relations window outside the Epcot entrance on the side near the buses.

Good luck, Stephanie. Since you already will be in the Epcot neighborhood, it's a good time to check out this year's Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. It's gorgeous and filled with lots of fun music, food, topiaries and garden displays.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
