Both parents and a 3y old. Going to DL last week of January. I need some guidance on tickets and reservations. Looking for kiddie rides for my daughter and a nice lunch with beloved characters to celebrate her 4th birthday which is the day before we leave.

From one Illinois resident to another, welcome to planDisney Viviana!

How exciting that you'll be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" so soon!  If you're also in need of a place to stay during your visit, you may want to explore the Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Packages as well as the Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Packages.  We've had great stays at both, and it's so convenient to be able to bundle your hotel stay and theme park tickets together!

You also can purchase your theme park tickets separately, and you'll select the number of days that you'll want to visit either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, as well as decide if you want to add on the Park Hopper option or Lightning Lane Multi Pass.  You'll also need to make a corresponding theme park reservation for each day that you want to visit the theme parks, it should prompt you at the end of your purchase as well.  The theme park reservation calendar can be a very helpful resource when planning your trip and which dates you want to visit.

A great feature on the Disneyland site or Disneyland app is that you can filter the list of attractions by height, and select "Any Height" or the height that your little one currently is to see what they'd be able to enjoy.  Fantasyland in Disneyland Park is a great place for little ones since there aren't many attractions with a height requirement.  You may also see some of your favorite Disney characters wandering around that you can say hello to!

For a great character meal, I would explore a late morning dining reservation for breakfast or brunch at Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, or "Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park" at Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park.  You'll get to meet some of our favorite Disney pals as well as enjoy a delicious meal.  There are currently not any character dining options for lunch, so I recommend trying to get a dining reservation later in the morning when the character dining experience is still available.

Don't forget to pickup a complimentary birthday button for your daughter at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A., or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park, I'm sure she will receive some fun birthday wishes throughout the day!  I hope this is helpful for you Viviana!  Please come back and follow-up with me if I can help with any other questions.

    Have a magical day!
