My parents are in their 80s and are not able to travel far distances. They have remaining days in expired tickets and would like for us to use them towards new tickets for our November trip. Is this possible for them to give us the unused expired tickets

    Hello Denise,

Thanks for stopping in to see us here at planDisney! It's exciting to hear you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up soon. I can imagine you're really looking forward to all that magic that awaits you.

Typically, with Walt Disney World theme park tickets, if you have a ticket that is unused and expired, the amount you paid for that ticket can be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket. If the theme park ticket has been used for park admission, it typically expires 14 days after the ticket was first used. If the theme park tickets were purchased with the No Expiration Option, those tickets could be used for admission, even though the No Expiration Option is no longer offered.

My best suggestion, Denise, is to call the Walt Disney World Resort at (407)-934-7639 and speak with a Cast Member about the details of the tickets to hear about what options might be available to you. You can also use the "Chat with Us" feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app, and you can also use the online chat service.

I'm excited for you that you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort when you can join in all the fun for The World’s Most Magical Celebration. You're sure to create so many cherished memories as you celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort.

Denise, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
