My parents need to rent scooters for our trip to Disney World in late November, I've heard that renting scooters off property is a good idea because they can keep the scooter for the entire time. My question is: What off-property company is reputable?

    Hi Lance,

Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) can be rented at many places in Orlando.  Julie & Mike Neal, authors of The Complete Walt Disney World, suggest Apria Heath Care (, Care Medical Equipment (, Turner Drugs (, and Walker Mobility (

You can also read some hints about using ECVs at; just do a search for Wheelchair/Scooter/Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) FAQ.

My mother is in a wheelchair, and I'm always so impressed with the care given to her by cast members, especially with assisting her with Disney transportation.  I hope your parents have the same experience.  Have a magical trip!
