Greetings, Anja! Your trip to Magic Kingdom Park is coming up so soon, and you must be really excited. The magic starts for me as soon as I step foot on Main Street U.S.A. and smell that popcorn popping! In my opinion, there is no better way to spend a day than to start it riding
Space Mountain and finish it watching
Happily Ever After.
Of course, if you want to ride Space Mountain and you have a little one with you who does not meet the height requirement, a great option for your family is to use the
Rider Switch service, available for select attractions at all four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. The service allows parents to take turns waiting in line, riding an attraction, and looking after the kids, with the second riding party being given a Rider Switch entitlement to enter through the
FastPass+ queue. Rider Switch has recently gone fully digital, including integration with your MagicBand and My Disney Experience! Now, instead of getting a paper ticket with a return time, you only need to tap your MagicBand and your Rider Switch entitlement shows up in your daily plans in the app. When you tap your MagicBand to receive a return time, Cast Members are also now able to see who has a valid FastPass+ for the attraction, so if the first riding group wants to enter using the FastPass+ entrance, everyone who rides must have a valid FastPass+. Of course, you can also choose to have the first group wait in the standby line, and the second group will still be able to enter the FastPass+ queue with their Rider Switch entitlement.
Have a magical day, Anja!
