Have any parents of kids with tree nut allergies eaten food in the park, or do you bring your own? I read the allergen disclaimer and it was not reassuring.

    Hi, Fawn!

Nothing is as important as the health and safety of our kids. If you would feel most comfortable bringing your own food into the parks during your Walt Disney World vacation, you certainly are permitted to do so. Just please be aware that the kitchens in the restaurants are unable to heat or prepare anything you bring. But, any type of ready-to-eat food you bring is welcome.

If you choose to dine at the Walt Disney World restaurants, feel free to ask for a list of ingredients, let a Cast Member know about any allergies, and even ask to speak to the chef about how food is prepared. If you have any specific dietary questions before you leave home, send an email to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. Include your questions, along with any restaurants you plan to dine at and your contact information.

I hope you find a plan for some delicious and appropriate dining for your entire family during your magical visit to Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
