Hi ! My parents and my family, kids 6 and 9 mths are planning a trip for next summer. We are trying to get an idea now about our trip. We have narrowed our resort choices to The Contemporary or The Polynesian, which one would u recommend?

We have been fortunate to have stayed at both resorts and actually just returned from a week at the Polynesian!  And I must admit, I prefer the Polynesian for several reasons.  One is because the transportation to the Magic Kingdom (bus or monorail) and Epcot (monorail) is so easy.  The resort is so lush and wonderfully themed that I truly felt as if it were in the South Seas.  I love the night walks through the gardens with the lit torches lighting the paths.  The Volcano Pool is also wonderful with its zero depth pool and views of the Magic Kingdom.  It is truly magical to watch the fireworks while swimming.

The Contemporary certainly does have some wonderful features, too.  One of the best things is that you can walk to the Magic Kingdom, and it does have lovely views of both the Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake.  It is also nice if you are in a tower room that you can wander around the resort without having to go outside, which can be nice if you are caught up in a rain storm.  However, it really just feels like a nice hotel to me, and I prefer to have a little bit more "Disney" in the room.  I should also point out that there is construction going on beside the resort, and I do not know if it will be completed by next summer.

    I hope this helps!  Kara
