How can both Parents enjoy a fast pass with a child tall enough for the ride while they have one that is not?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nick!

Being a mom of two smaller kiddos and a Disney attractions enthusiast, I have been in your shoes. I'm glad you're asking about this, because at Walt Disney World Resort, it is so easy for everyone in the party to enjoy the attractions.

The feature I'm going to tell you about is truly one of my favorite amenities for families with children who can't or don't want to board an attraction. Disney's Rider Switch Service has been a saving grace for my family and I. My husband and I have utilized the service many times. It integrates with your MagicBand, Theme Park ticket, and My Disney Experience and is easy to use!

To use Disney's Rider Switch, you will have to first check to see if the service is offered at the attraction you're wanting to ride. You can do this by asking a Cast Member or here. The most popular question we've been getting lately is whether or not Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is offering the Rider Switch service, and I'm happy to say it is! It's a phenomenal experience and I do hope you make some time to enjoy it. If you're wondering how it works with the boarding groups, I've explained how Disney's Rider Switch works with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance here

Once you are at the attraction, your entire party will need to approach the Cast Member who is greeting at the queue to request Disney's Rider Switch Service. The first rider or riders will go through the line while the second rider or riders will wait with the child. The second rider(s) will be given a Rider Switch entitlement to bypass the Standby line and gain entrance in the FastPass+ line. If the person in Party 2 waited alone with the child, he or she may bring up to 2 other Guests back to ride the attraction. Only 3 Guests are allowed per Rider Switch Pass. This allows the three of you to be able to experience the attraction.

The Rider Switch works brilliantly when you make your FastPass+ selections for at least one person (the first rider) in your party for the attractions that you'd like to ride most. That way, none of you are waiting very long and the three of you will be able to all go through the FastPass+ queue.

I hope I've helped make your vacation even more magical, Nick!
