So my parents and I are going to Disney the first week of November, we'd like to no if Fantasmic will be back by then (it's my mom and I #1 fav show) and if Disney will be decorated/ing for their Christmas festivities during our stay

Hey Howdy Hey Emily and welcome back to planDisney!

I am so excited to hear you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during the transition to celebrating the Most Magical Time of the Year! Thank you for your question on Fantasmic! and some of the Magical touches for the holiday season. There will be many things you have to look forward to on your upcoming trip and I am so excited to share a few tips as you continue to plan for your next trip.

In regards to Fantasmic! Disney has shared that it was making its epic return in 2022. Rumors have been going wild recently on all the activity and expected announcements but we are still waiting on the official word from Disney. Disney has not given any dates on the return of this spectacular nighttime show in Hollywood Studios, but if Disney keeps to the timeline of a 2022 return, it has to be coming up soon. Keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog for any word on the official return!

When it comes to decorating for the holiday season, so many magical transformations begin happening the night of October 31st after the parks close. You will be able to see the transformation of Main Street U.S.A. from the fall celebrations to the warmth of the holiday spirit! Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom will kick off its first celebration on November 8th, so you can bet that most, if not all, of the holiday decor, will be up and ready for this spectacular celebration! If you are a Disney+ subscriber, check out the documentary Decorating Disney Holiday Magic where they take a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the transition of Magic Kingdom to the Merriest Place on Earth!

You will also find several other areas of the parks, resorts and Disney Springs decorating for the season as well. Many of the Deluxe Resorts will have a tree erected in the lobby specific to the theme of the resort as well as other touches around EPOCT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. These transitions will take a bit longer but you might still be able to experience new additions each time you visit the parks. You might also be able to catch Disney Springs decorating for the season as well. All of these updates should be addressed on Disney Parks Blog as well as the full celebration gets underway!

As we all continue to wait for word on Fantasmic! and the details on the holiday celebrations, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you that we will hear something soon about the expected time frame for Fantasmic! especially. Please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
