Ahoy there Kevin, thanks for sailing my way here at planDisney with your question!
With two parents that use CPAP machines, I'm keenly aware of the need for these machines, especially while on vacation. But I'm also aware that there is only so much space and weight limit available for luggage! So what's a CPAP user to do?
You're correct that the side of the bed that's adjacent to the bathroom has a 220v outlet, and that sure would overload most CPAP machines in the US market! The good news is you won't need to bring distilled water or an extension cord
(since these are on the prohibited items list) aboard with you because Disney Cruise Line should be able to have approved cordage delivered to your stateroom for your CPAP machine.
I'd suggest coordinating this before you sail through a request to Special Services, once onboard with
Guest Services, or with your stateroom host/hostess. The earlier you can do this, the better, of course - and while it looks like you sail in 30 days, Special Services requests are usually submitted at least 60 days ahead of time - so I'd definitely submit that as soon as possible.
Even though they will see this noted on your reservation, make sure to mention it to your stateroom attendant when you first meet them on embarkation day - it's a great conversation starter, too!
Hopefully, I've been able to distill the answer to your question down to something manageable, and your parents can power through, Kevin! I hope you and your crew have an incredible voyage and are ready to make some magical memories on your sailing!
SEA ya real soon!
Andrew
