My parents will be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary and my siblings and I are looking to create a trip to remember. My parents are 87 and in need of assistance getting around. They celebrated their honeymoon at Disneyland. Any advise would help.

    Hiya David,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.

Happy anniversary to your parents! I love that they wish to celebrate this momentous occasion at the Disneyland Resort! Don’t worry, there are services available for Guests who require mobility assistance (such as parking and restrooms), so your parents can enjoy the parks as much as they did on their honeymoon!

If your parents require assistance with getting around the parks, they may want to rent an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). The Disneyland Resort has ECVs and wheelchairs available to rent on the east side of the main entrance. ECVs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. I recommend arriving early and going straight to the ECV rental to secure the ECVs before entering the parks. Guests can also bring and use their own ECVs and/or wheelchairs.

Have you looked into a special dinner to celebrate your parent’s anniversary? Several dining packages are available for the shows at Disneyland Resort (such as the newly returned Fantasmic!), so take a look at the dining packages available and book 60 days before your visit date! I also encourage you to follow Disney Parks Blog as they will be the first to report special offerings in the park during the Holiday season

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
