    My parents are going to be celebrating their Anniversary at Chefs De France next week and I would like to have a cake brought out for them during their dinner, is this possible to set up over the phone just using their names/reservation time?

    Hi Stacy, What a sweet daughter you are!

    I did something similar for my best friend when she was dining at Le Cellier on her birthday. I'll tell you what I did to make it happen, and you should have similar (successful) results.

    You need to call 407-824-2222 and ask to be transferred to Chefs De France. You may need to explain what you are trying to accomplish in order for them to put you through directly to the restaurant. If at first you don't succeed, try again until you actually reach a person in the restaurant. There will be a prompt to press a certain number to "leave a message for a member of management". Press that. Sometimes you will reach someone right away, other times you may have to leave a message. They are very good about returning calls. Just let them know the date/reservation time and the name it's under. There are "Celebrate Today" 6 inch cakes available in vanilla or chocolate. The manager will be able to charge your credit card over the phone, and can then surprise your parents with the cake. For my friend, they wrote, "Happy Birthday Trina" around the edges with chocolate syrup. I'm sure the chef can add, "Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad" for you if you ask.

    I'd start calling right away, just to be sure it is arranged in time. It can't hurt to give a reminder call the evening of their reservation for peace of mind (that's what I did). Everything went very smoothly for me and I'm wishing the same for you!
