Hiya Trisha!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! What a special gift your parents bought for your kids, and I am so thrilled they will be able to experience the Disney magic with their family. I know I have the most wonderful memories from my own family trips to the Disney parks!
Unfortunately, when parents create profiles for their little Mouseketeers under 13 years old,
only that parent can manage plans for that child. Indeed, Guests 13 years and older are welcome to create their own account, so it would be ideal for them to have their own account if possible. However, I recommend
reaching out to a Cast Member via chat, email or phone to get some extra pixie dust for your trip. Indeed, Cast Members can help you manage your plans with little ones!
Thankfully, certain plans do not require you to link a Guest's profile to them. Indeed, dining reservations, for example, can include placeholder Guest profiles as the only information needed is the party's size. Therefore, your parents can simply put "Guest 1" in place of the kids' profiles. Otherwise, if you are also visiting the theme parks with them, they can reassign the theme park tickets by going in the "My Plans" section on
My Disney Experience. Then, under "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker," they can locate the theme park tickets and click on "Reassign Ticket" next to them. Guests can hold up to five tickets at a time, so they can simply reassign them to your profile first.
I hope this was helpful, Trisha, and that your Ohana will have the best day on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out! As Lilo would say: "Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten," and you're part of our planDisney Ohana too!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
