My parents and I have booked a Disney vacation for Spring Break of this year. I know it's a very busy time, but with my 9yr old in school it was the only time we could go. I have a 3 yr old too - any help/suggestions would be great.

    Heigh Ho Joanne!

Traditionally, spring break is a very popular time to visit the Walt Disney World resort. The good news is with a plan and a positive attitude, your family will have a magical vacation filled with wonderful memories!

My number one tip would be to arrive at the theme park of your choice before it opens! I would arrive at least 30 minutes before park opening. This way you can stay ahead of the crowds. You will find the first few hours crucial in riding some of your favorite attractions or meeting favorite characters with minimal lines. This is when we are actually grateful that our 3-year-old wakes us up early in the morning!

When more Guests start arriving, that is usually when my family heads back to our resort to enjoy a nap or relax in the pool. We like the down time and the relaxation gives us an extra energy boost to head back to the parks in the evening to ride more attractions and enjoy nighttime entertainment such as the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular or Fantasmic! We also use this time to peruse the gift shops and pick out some favorite souvenirs.

And if you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort, you can make your FastPass+ selections prior to your arrival, so you'll be able to enjoy more attractions and parades!

One other piece of advice is to eat during non-traditional meal times such as an early or late lunch. This will also help avoid the crowds in restaurants and counter service locations. If I do get hungry before a meal, there is always a delicious snack that finds its way into my belly.

Have a fabulous vacation! Just remember to relax and smile--you're in Walt Disney World! I hope this has been helpful and if you have any other questions, please ask! I feel honored to answer them!
