Bright suns, Jacob! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.
Are you ready to have your very own Star Wars adventure at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge? Before you begin exploring Black Spire Outpost, take a look at these
tips for making the most of your visit to this incredible new land.
Since you will be traveling with your young padawan, I'm happy to tell you that the
Rider Switch Service is available for the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions. If you want to
take the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy for a spin on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, you will find that Rider Switch works here as it does for any other attraction. However, the procedure for using Rider Switch at
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will differ a bit from the norm.
Currently, a
virtual queue system with boarding groups is being used at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. To join the virtual queue, everyone in your party who wishes to experience the attraction should enter
Disney's Hollywood Studios before the park opens for the day. At the official park opening time, you may use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to request a boarding group. If you are assigned a boarding group, the app will notify you when your group is called. You will then have a two-hour window in which to arrive at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance to experience the attraction. At this point, you may speak with a Cast Member about using the Rider Switch Service, but you need to first be in a boarding group.
Before your visit, be sure to double-check the
park hours for Disney's Hollywood Studios. Park hours are always subject to change, and the park has been opening early to accommodate all of the travelers hoping to join the Resistance in their battle against the First Order. I would also recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news in case procedures for accessing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance change before your trip.
May the Force be with you!
Samantha
