We are a 2 parent one child (2 yr) planning on a trip to Disney world. I understand how rider swap works but since we are only 2 adults would we be able to stand in line together with the young child and swap to ride separate at that time on rides?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Jessica!

I remember using the Rider Switch Service at Walt Disney World Resort when my children were younger. It was a great way to ensure everyone had a great time while considering the needs of our younger children at the time.

As you know, with Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the younger child while the other enjoys the attraction. Once that adult returns, they will supervise the child while the second adult continues to enjoy the attraction without waiting in the regular queue again.

Per the requirements, you will greet the Cast Member with your entire party and be issued a Ride Switch entitlement, and the second adult will be asked to wait in a designated area (usually outside of the attraction)”. The good news is that you can share your different experiences of the attractions in question over lunch or dinner or at the end of your magical-filled day.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Have a magical experience!
