The paradise pier pool is re-opening May 7. Will the sandbar open as well?

    Hi Nicholas!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your Disneyland Resort Hotel vacation planning question to us hEAR!

Oh wow. Okay. The Sand Bar had been on my 'must try' list because of the (are you ready for it?) Spaghetti Burger. (Carbs = good. Burgers = good. Put those two together? I can't even imagine.) But then the shutdown happened and we moved away from CA ... I guess I need to watch for this announcement with you so I can know when to make a return trip to The Happiest Place on Earth!

At this time we haven't hEARd anything about this dining location reopening. I actually didn't know that there was a date for the pool deck to reopen at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. I would guess that yes, The Sandbar would reopen in some capacity, even if only for possibly drinks and light snacks. After all, the coolest way to stay cool by the pool is with a drink in your hand! My fingers will be crossed for the whole menu for your vacation, Nicholas. However, if the Sandbar isn't open you should be able to bring your own snacks and drinks to the pool deck with you. You can pick some up on your way to your hotel or have them delivered to be waiting on your arrival. You can use any grocery delivery service you like, and the Bell Services team will even keep your cold stuff cold until you arrive! You'll simply include the name of the main reservation holder and the resort hotel reservation confirmation number in the "deliver to" information as well as the hotel's address, which is 1717 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim CA 92802.

If for some reason work on the Paradise Pier pool refurbishment hits a snag, Guests of the Pier are welcome to use the pool at the Disneyland Hotel. There's even a shuttle to whisk you back and forth! I can confirm that their poolside dining options are open.

I hope that this answer gave you some poolside hope, Nicholas! Be sure to check out the official planDisney Instagram account for even more Disneyland Resort vacation tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
