Welcome to
planDisney, Kathleen!
Thanks for stopping by en route to your magical vacation. As a fellow out-of-state visitor, I'm happy to share my experiences traveling to the Golden Coast.
Los Angeles International Airport offers the most direct flights to and from my home airport, so it's the location I prefer to use when visiting Southern California. Disneyland Resort does not offer
airport transportation to its
onsite hotels, but you have several options for getting to and from LAX. If you prefer to make plans beforehand, arrange for a shuttle or limousine service. Disneyland's website mentions Karmel Shuttle and the ground transportation section of the LAX website also provides a list of companies that operate in the area.
When our only destination for the trip is
Disneyland Resort, my family prefers to use a rideshare service like Lyft to take us directly to our resort. After retrieving your luggage, follow the signs to the rideshare shuttle, which will take you to the pick-up area. I recommend requesting a ride once onboard the shuttle.
If you plan to explore beautiful Southern California during your stay, consider renting a car. Sometimes, we want to do some sightseeing on our way to Disneyland Resort, so my family only needs a vehicle for one leg of our journey. In this case, we do a one-day rental and drop off our car nearby. There's even an
Enterprise Rent-A-Car® location at
Pixar Place Hotel.
I hope this is helpful as you prepare for your exciting adventure to the Disneyland Resort. Best wishes for a memorable trip, and if there's anything else we at planDisney can do before you leave, come see us again. We're all ears!
