Hey there, Jenna and welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us. By the time of your magical visit, the Disneyland Resort will have transformed into something spooktacular. Can you believe
Halloween Time is less than two months away?
I love taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks and finding a great spot to enjoy a parade, a show or a nighttime spectacular. So let's see what's brewing for October. According to a recent post from
Disney Parks Blog, the current nighttime spectacular, "Wondrous Journeys," will make its last performance on August 31. Beginning September 1, we'll get to enjoy frightful fun with the nighttime spectacular
"Halloween Screams" each night through October 31 in Disneyland Park. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to view the projections, I always find the place to do this is at "it's a small world."
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, you can head to the
Plaza de la Familia where you'll find "A Musical Celebration of Coco." This show includes music and dancing to a celebration of songs and characters from the movie "Coco." If you're attending
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, you'll be able to catch the
"Frightfully Fun Parade" featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their ghoulish garb. My favorite part of this parade are the gravediggers. And of course, my favorite way to enjoy any show is with some popcorn or a churro or with your favorite Disney snack.
Now, these are a few of the entertainment highlights in October, however, this is certainly not an exhaustive list of all of the wonderful entertainment available throughout the resort. My hot tip is to check the
Entertainment Schedule or
Disneyland app closer to your visit to see the full list of options that will be available during your stay. Keep in mind that all showtimes are subject to change and/or cancellation.
Well Jenna, I hope this gives you a start and gets you thinking about all of the entertainment you'll get to enjoy during your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have other questions or need more ideas, please come back to ask us. Until then, happy haunting and happy planning!
