Hi Keyonah!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm always happy to see fellow South Carolina residents here on the panel. Especially when they have a Walt Disney World vacation planned...my favorite subject!
Currently,
parades have been temporarily paused to help with social distancing. But the characters simply can’t wait to see and be seen by Guests, and right now that’s taking the form of these great interactions referred to as character cavalcades, motorcades, and processionals.
Character Cavalcades are what I call pop-up mini parades that randomly occur at all the parks.
Magic Kingdom boasts several new character interactions along the traditional parade route. For princess fans, don’t miss the Royal Princess Processional in the Magic Kingdom, currently featuring Merida, Tiana, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Elena of Avalor, and Fairy Godmother. Mickey Mouse fans can find him in the “Mickey and Friends Cavalcade” along with his pals as they surprise Guests throughout the day along the traditional parade route.
In new entertainment offerings at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom, look for characters as they cruise down the Discovery River.
EPCOT joins in the fun with a Frozen Promenade with Anna and Elsa visiting from Arendelle. Naturally, the galactic edge has to go to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios with Star Wars characters making appearances. (Hello, it IS the home of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!) Plus, on Hollywood Boulevard, processionals like the “Pixar Pals Motorcade” will feature familiar faces from The Incredibles and Toy Story.
Keep in mind that entertainment offerings are always subject to change. I’d suggest checking the
My Disney Experience app for updated information on character appearances and where they will be located. Some of these events are spontaneous and surprise pop-ups, so they may not be on the app. But prepare to be just as excited and amazed when they happen!
Parade back over to planDisney with more questions as you process towards your amazing vacation. Keyonah, I hope that you have a magical and character-filled one!
SEA ya real soon!
