    How do you get to be a parade featured family or a host family at rope drop at one of the theme parks? Thank you.

    Oh Nathaniel, this is always a big topic and question from families getting ready to come to Walt Disney World!  It is everyone's dream to have their children participate in these special events at the opening or parks.  The best advice is to be at the entrances to the parks as early as possible to be first in line. Be happy and smiling and excited! It means a longer wait for something that is not guaranteed but families are usually chosen from those that are ready in line early!  It is completely by random now since so many letters of requests were sent years ago. I actually had my parents be the parade grand marshals for their 35th wedding anniversary back in the 80's.  How fortunate I was but that just can't happen anymore.
